On July 12, 2012, Thailand’s Ministry of Finance, together with the Asian
Development Bank and the International Monetary Fund jointly organized a conference on
“Towards a More Stable Global Economic System.” The conference brought together senior
policy makers from Asia and around the world to discuss key challenges in building a more
stable global economic system after the recent financial and economic crisis in 2008 that
affects all countries and continues to have repercussions for global growth and stability.
